CA 11/1 - Happy Halloween

Announcements

• Hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

• For those sending season start emails (Head Coaches), please paste the email into Playmetrics, fill in any blank spaces, and send a notification to parents. Feel free to add a bit about yourself or adjust the wording as needed. Please CC me and BCC the parents on the email. If you need a reminder on how to send emails - Click Here

• For those setting up meeting with me, if a time in that scheduler doesn’t work just text me and we can find a time.

• As many of you plan your first practices this week, be thinking about ROUTINES. Teach them how / what you want them to do when they arrive. Be sure to consider our expectations for practices

  • Plan on Board: Practices should be outlined 48 hours before the event. 

  • Routines: We want a consistent routine to start and end the practice  

  • Scoreboards: We want athletes competing against each other gamify.

  • Target: Each practice should have a guiding principle attached, that will be able to be reinforced throughout practice and every drill. 

  • “Helping teammates up”

  • No Lines / No Lectures: Players should not be standing in line for a long time, we need to maximize reps. Again to avoid talking too much, more court / time playing.
